I explore correlations between inner experiences and outward perceptions, using a changing vocabulary of forms, surface textures, and layers of colors.

I like juxtapositions and transitions between contrasting qualities: light and dark, solid and open, hard and soft, smooth and rough, and concave and convex. Clay is a wonderfully responsive and flexible medium for building organic forms inspired by the natural world, by my dreams and imagination, or by man-made objects.

I feel a link to clay workers of ancient times.
